This unique program combines yoga & ancestral healing arts while honoring the indigenous culture. You will have the chance to ask everything about medicinal plants, healing and yoga. The retreat also includes three vegetarian / vegan meals per day, accomodation in a great ashram in Yunguilla with a view on the mountains, a swimming pool to relax and a beautiful yoga shala. The yoga classes are based on a traditional style hatha yoga. We also include more restorative yoga and yoga nidra for full relaxation.

Our Team
Maria Elena Calderon
Maria Elena Calderon is the founder and owner of OM Healing Center in Cuenca, Ecuador.
She fell in love with Hatha Yoga in the year 2000. She started with gentle Hatha Yoga to help her deal with stress and anxiety. Her frequent practice helped her find harmony in her life. She became more aware of her posture, alignment, body movement and most importantly, her levels of stress and anxiety had diminished. To become an instructor became her next logical step – she decided to complete her 200 RYT teachers training in India. She now lives in Ecuador where she teaches bilingual Hatha Yoga classes. To share her passion, she is now a registered Lead Teacher with Yoga Alliance and has registered OM Healing as a Yoga Teacher’s Training School for the 200-hour program.

Willemijn Welten
CranioSacral therapist & yoga teacher. The past ten years she learned to listen to the signals of her own body through meditation, yoga and CranioSacral therapy. Travelled a lot (a lot), started a company called House of Awareness, her own coaching & healing business, reading tarot, a vegan lifestyle and became a yoga teacher. She discovered the benefits of being highly sensitive.
As a Hatha yoga teacher Willemijn honors the traditions of yoga. Her style can be best described as eclectic hatha. But she also loves to teach some more restorative classes! She believes it always start with the breath, that is the key to your body, mind and spirit. Through the breath we can remember who we truly are!
She loves to help you through craniosacral therapy & yoga to be your true selves. So you can see yourself and listen to your body, with all of your powers, gifts and talents.

Ambra Galleoti
Ambra Galleotti, Italian by birth and resident in Ecuador for seven years, is a Doctor in Anthropology and Intercultural Communication with years of studies in Italy (University of Turin Studies) and Madrid (Universidad Complutense) on American ancestral cultures. She deals with ancestral and intercultural medicine, distributes products for female harmonization and carries out courses and pieces of textile art.
Currently Ambra performs monthly rituals and attends in the center of Cuenca in his office "Anuar" of the Bajada del Padrón. Ancestral and intercultural medicine, integral harmonization therapies and massages, Ayahuasca rituals, oracle reading, ancestral arts workshops, handicrafts and the products proposed with the name Anuar, which means "to illuminate", have the purpose of lighting a light so that the magic enters subtly in the lives of those who receive them as an invitation to self-knowledge, a door to the path of healing.

Alejandro conducts master plants ceremonies, leads ancestral temazcal ceremonies, Reiki master, sound therapy practitioner and ceremonial musician.
