Yoga Teacher Training
Yoga Teacher Training
Come and join us for a magical four-week 200 hours Yoga Teacher Training Program in the magnificent Andes of Ecuador
One yoga student said it best….. “You don’t come here to change yourself. You come here to find your true nature.» «Indeed the point isn’t to become someone you think you should be, but to strip away all the crap and be your best self. The self you want to live with forever; because that’s the only permanent thing in this life of yours.»
You will view Yoga as a means to healing! We are attempting as Yoga practitioners to create the physical and spiritual space for growth in our physical bodies along with the change and growth in consciousness. Our Yoga teacher training program will give an in-depth immersion into the Yoga System, observing and analyzing several branches of Yogic philosophy.
Classes will range from Classical Hatha Yoga, Vinyasa Flow, and Iyengar Structural Alignment Workshops. With regard to Asana, all core postures will be studied and examined from the base up, equipping all our students with the necessary verbal cues and physical adjustments in order to not only allow you to teach safely, but to deepen our understanding of each Asana, its purpose, movements, rotations, and connection to the energetic body.
Most teacher training programs introduce students with many aspects of yoga, but what is usually neglected is preparing their students in actually becoming an instructor. In our training, we will have several rounds of teaching practice, along with sequencing tutorials, adjustment clinics, and final Asana class examinations. Along with Asana, students will be introduced to several Pranayama and Meditation techniques and practices.
Applied Anatomy and Philosophy classes will give an extensive intellectual and spiritual background on the depths of the Yoga. Here you will learn day-to-day Ayurvedic concepts that are easy to grasp by getting back to the basics of living life aligned with nature. By using Ayurveda’s simple methods, you can take your total well being into your own hands.
Yoga: ¡a holistic way of life!
Yoga is a 5000 year old Indian body of knowledge. Yoga is derived from the Sanskrit word “yuj” meaning to “unite or integrate” Yoga is all about harmonizing the body with the mind and breath through the means of various breathing techniques, yoga postures and meditation. Yoga can create a wonderful sense of balance in your body, mind and spirit. Here at OM Healing Center, we offer you an open and loving environment. Our mission is to help you on your journey of personal transformation. “An improvement in posture and breathing is neither the sole nor even the primary aim of yoga. Instead, it is either a therapeutic method of freeing the mind from false beliefs, or the insight into ultimate reality, the dharmas, achievable by this method. Yoga is an intrinsic and integrated system consisting of metaphysics, the philosophy of mind, the theory of knowledge, ethics and the philosophy of language.” By Patanjali
Meditation
It is derived from two Latin words: meditari(to think, to dwell upon, to exercise the mind) mediri (to heal). Meditation is the way to bring us back to ourselves, where we can really experience and taste our full being, beyond all habitual patterns. In the stillness and silence of meditation, we glimpse and return to that deep inner nature that we have so long ago lost sight of amid the busyness and distraction of our minds. With our guided meditation classes, OM Healing Center helps you understand your daily stressors and how to support them in a gentle and caring manner. “The gift of learning to meditate is the greatest gift you can give yourself in this life. For it is only through meditation that you can undertake the journey to discover your true nature, and so find the stability and confidence you will need to live, and die, well. Meditation is the road to enlightenment.»
